I Don’t Know Whether to be Angry or Not

I got out of class a little after 3 o’clock and immediately booked it over to work. The football team is out of town in San Jose, California. There is no basketball or volleyball this evening and baseball is nly turning in one clip at a time (if anything) while softball turns in just a little bit more. My logic, go in immediately, get everything done and out early for once.
However when I got here I noticed that 3 out of the 6 dryers are full of towels to be folded.
The football team left Friday afternoon. There was a high school football game at the stadium, granted, however, there shouldn’t have been any laundry from them. Not to mention, if there was, it was the responsibility of the Friday person to take care of it. There is no basketball stuff anywhere which means the Friday person (or basketball assistants) came in and did that.
This leads me two conclusions. Either the Friday person didn’t come in and do their job at all and took advantage of the fact that there was a high school game going on, which is totally fucked up since whenever the game fell on my days years previous I came in and did my job. The second possibility, and the one I’m leaning to, is that the Friday person came in, did some stuff, washed these towels and then left them in the dryers for me to fold.
Granted I don’t have much of anything to do today. I’m just waiting on softball’s stuff to finish drying (and my own laundry too!
) and then I’m finished. It won’t kill me or anything to fold these towels, compared to the normal amount that gets turned in after practice or a game it isn’t much. But still, it’s upsetting that someone can’t even do their job and is shoving their shit onto me.
So now I’m sitting here debating leaving the crap for someone else to do. Ironically, the girl who has Friday’s has Sundays as well. So it would be just desert’s to leave it for her. Plus, this week is her Monday as well and since I won’t come back in until next Thursday, well there’s no way to foist it off onto me.
Of course the team will come back on Sunday, and if my boss sees the towels in there I don’t really want the lecture either. Damned if I do, damned if I don’t.

You might as well do the towels, it’s not that much work like you said, and it’s better than getting blamed for leaving your job half done since no one will believe you it was the previous person.
Julie,
Ah, you’ll be proud of me. I went ahead and did their job for them. Of course, I only did it after I called my boss and filled him in on the situation.
You want to come put away my laundry? I’ll pay
Two baskets of clothes and some bedding…. won’t take long at all!
mcangeli,
I’m going to have to pass on that offer I’m afraid.
While I’m sure the pay would be good, I just prefer not to deal with laundry when I don’t have to since my job is laundry-overkill.
