Her Graduation is Almost Here!

Who’s graduation? Mine? No, not me. Yes my graduation is coming up soon, but before that my friend Tina’s graduation is coming. In November she graduates from the Police Academy! 
I’m just so happy and proud of her. 
She’s going to be a Correctional Officer here at the local correctional facility, which scares me a bit, but I’m happy for her. I know gear isn’t cheap, I’ve had to buy my own gear myself as well and believe me when I say your paycheck goes buh-bye real fast. In my case I didn’t have to pay for my uniform, just the equipment I would carry. Not so in Tina’s case. So I’m browsing websites that carry 5.11 tactical gear (the brand she seems to like the most) and just trying to pick out some police gear for her that I know she’s going to need. I’m not sure what kind of piece she’ll be carrying so I’ll let her get her own holster, but I can at least look for other items.

Congrats to Tina! That’s a pretty nice gift to get for her friend, especially for graduation, but at least it’s something very useful. Good job on the choice!
YAY for your friend’s nearing graduation. That’s very sweet of you to try to get her some gear as a gift. You’re right, that stuff is expensive as hell.

Thank you. I truly hopes she enjoys it and at least I know she’ll get use out of the gift, unlike other gifts where you have to wonder if the receiver actually kept it let alone used it.

It is, I ran up a nice little tab for my stuff and I didn’t have to buy much. I can’t imagine what it will cost her to get all of her gear!
