I worried my cat’s fur wouldn’t grow back the same either the first time I decided to shear her. But it has grown back every time just fine. I’d go so far to venture that her fur, like our own hair, requires a trimming here and there to keep it in tip top condition. Her fur has always grown back skinnier and healthier looking.

As for the cat, wow, that’s amazing she’ll go through it. I want to give my one dog a shave for summer, but always worry her coat won’t grow back the same. She’s in air conditioning a lot, but she despises the heat. (we’re in NJ, not AZ heat!)

I have a similar problem with my dog not wanting a cut, but with her nails. She struggles and pulls away. We seriously need at least three people to hold her paws in order to cut her damn nails. Then when it’s all done, she’s up and wagging her tail and trying to give kissies to our faces.

Pets are hilarious! LOL!

Yeah, her hair does look like a different after being shaved. When it’s long she hair multiple colors in it. Brown, red, white, tan, even some gold here and there. But after it’s been cropped it looks totally different.
