Google Reader and Irrelevant Health Advice

I just got some email notifications for a blog I visit regularly. Since the blog takes forever and a day to load, even though it’s not graphic intense, I’ve taken to reading the new posts in Google Reader and visiting the individual pages to comment. Well here’s the funny thing, despite getting the notification of new entries (yes more than one) none of them are showing up in the Google reader yet. Hell, some of my posts from earlier today aren’t even showing up in Google reader yet. :wtf: How fucking slow is that? Are all readers this slow to update or am I just special?

Now normally I would barely be waking up right now, but I had to get up early today so I could run over to the NMSU library to print out an article for an essay that is due tomorrow. After I returned and was all set to get to work on my essay my grandfather felt the need to impart some wisdom. Apparently one of his friends had gotten a colon cleanse an it has helped his health tremendously. I really didn’t need to hear about this. But he just had to go on and on about it while I sat at the computer with a look of absolute horror on my face, which he interpreted as absolute fascination. Eventually he wandered off and allowed his traumatized audience to escape.

Now I know how to torture someone and leave no physical marks.

    That’s weird that Google reader would be slow, it should update whenever the feed updates. Unless the feed is slow. *shrug* But eww about the random health advice torture. Why is it that old people feel the need to share.

    That form of torture only works if the person is squeamish about things like that. Lol.

    I don’t know how long Google Reader takes to update. I know that for all of my bargain sites, they update pretty quickly and very often. Your posts seem to come up quickly too. I think Julie’s recent one took a few hours, but I don’t know if that’s due to her inactivity or something. *shrugs*
