Buh-Bye Amazon

I really don’t have much money to throw around right now which means I’m pinching every single penny I can. I’m probably driving friends and family crazy since for everything they plan or suggest we do as a get together I point out the predicted cost and try to offer a cheaper alternative. Hey, if I’m footing some of the bill I’ve got a right to want to do things less extravagantly. Besides, they know I’m saving up so why even suggest outrageously priced trips and shopping adventures when you know this?
To feed my reading addiction I’ve usually ransacked Amazon thoroughly but as of late when it comes to purchasing books I’ve been more apt to get them off of book swaps. DVDs have always been cheaper off of Ebay stores and Overstock, though truth be told, I prefer Overstock. In order to make my little self indulgent splurges possible I always hunt the net for online coupons codes. Now pretty much if I don’t have a coupon then I’m not buying.
Overstock though keeps going up in my esteem. Before I used to use it solely for dvds, specifically anime. Now I’ve been finding a lot of novels I want at ultra low prices. Coupon Chief has a decent variety of Overstock.com coupons too which makes a low priced purchase even better. Then add in the fact that I’m a MyPoints member and things just get better and better.
With the rare exception it’s beginning to look like I might be saying goodbye to Amazon for awhile.
