Misty disapeared a year ago at the age of 9yrs. Its my belief that one of our neighbor's dogs got a hold of her when my Mom put her outside. I still hold out hope though that she may return or show up somewhere. Misty loved to watch TV, she always sat on the bed or the floor in my room and just watched the tv for hours on end. I'm not sure she actually enjoyed watching TV or whether she was just fascinated by the weird contraption that her human was always fooling around with.

Isis is now 9yrs old, she is exactly one year younger than Misty. She is half sealpoint and half tabby. When she was younger she looked more sealpoint however now that she's gotten much older her fur has darkened and tabby stripes are starting appear thoughout her fur more. Isis is nicknamed "sleepy-time kitty" and "sand-kitty" because given the option of anything else or sleeping she'll sleep. Isis actually prefers company and so if she's left by herself or if I'm in another room and havn't made too much noise recently she'll start running through the house meowing to see if anyone is still around.

Denali I adopted from the Vet's office last year in order to keep Isis company when I'm gone and to fill the void that was left in wake of Misty's disapearance. Denali has quite the attitude. Denali loves going outside, so naturally she hates it when I'm not home as she's not allowed outside unless I'm outside as well. Her favorite past time is -eating and eating. She'll eat about anything so long as it dosn't eat her first. She loves to play with just about anything too, and would like to make Avatre her newest plaything. Denali likes to curl up at my feet when I'm studying at my desk or lay on my bed when I'm in my room. If I'm at the computer, rest assured she'll be trying to help me type. And now the mystery of the added letters and stiky caps in my typing sometimes has been revealed.

I went to PetCo planning on buying one fish but than I fell in love with two of them. The male betas all had their scales in single colors like solid red, solid blue ect... but Avatre and Kashet stood out and despite protests from others I bought them both. And no the two arn't in the same tank! Avatre was named after a dragon from Mercedes Lackey's newest trilogy "Joust". The name of Avatre means "Fire of the Dawn". The Dragon's scales shade from Red to purple with gold my Avatre just has red and purple but good enough! Avatre has a red dragon in his tank and loves to hide behind or sleep next to it so I've dubbed the dragon figurine "Coreesen" which was the name of Avatre's mother in the books.

Sadly Avatre passed away recently. Avatre was quick to get sick and despite his frequent tank cleanings and regular feedings this last time that he got sick he never got better.

I purchased Kashet the same day as Avatre and he too was named after a dragon from Lackey's triology "Joust". Kashet is gree with some blue and a few dashes of red in him. I'm not too sure why but as I was leaving the store I was looking at the fish and the name 'Kashet' just popped into my mind. Naturally I then thought: "well than I shall call the other one Avatre" and that was that. Kashet is a real character. He dosn't really like the food I've been feeding him as its differant than what he had in the store. At first he refused to eat for a few days before giving in. Now he loves to save a flake or two and wait till I'm sitting at my desk (as his tank is on my desk) and eat them in front of me. I have never seen a fish do this before but instead of just gulping it down as other fish do on those pieces he saves, and only those pieces, he'll turn to face me and make just a big production of opening and closing his mouth and the pieces of fish food making certain you can see he's eating it. He just stays there smacking his jaw up and down and chewing the food. Its hysterical! I think thats Kashet's way of saying "I'll eat this cheap food bitch, but I dont like it".

Shizuku was born from Precious' second litter of puppies. His mother was a dog who kind of just adopted us one day and then after having her ten puppies up and left. Shizuku's name is Japanese and means "quiet" I dubbed him the quiet one when he was a itty bitty little puppy because all the others yapped constantly but this one was quiet, and when he does speak everybody listens. Right now I am still trying to find homes for the two girls that remain, in the meantime though he has fun keeping them in line. One thing my grandfather and mother hate is the fact that Shizuku pretty much only obeys me. He might follow their commands everyonce in a great while, but it is usually when he actualaly wants to do what they want him to do anyway.
