Poetry BoredomComposed during the last dregs of fourth period of Geometry. Boredom is something That I feel That I see That I know. I sit here now Forever in a daze No sense of up Or down. Around me sit mokeys, They leap and bound Silly antics amuse All but me. Not a blonde I spy Though I try No golden seriphans To wisk me away To where I may be Happy and alive, Not dead in this crematory. The clock ticks by, And the monkeys are Called on to perform But for me no such rescue Shall come. Instead I sit and, Gaze upon my dear friend Who will one day take My thoughts and scatter Them to the wind, Or will perhaps Merely keep them bound and safe For future generations to delight In these last dregs I have told To my dear friend. ~Lady Dragon I really dont think there are any allusions here or anything that somebody would not understand. I wrote this poem while on the brink of sleep. Anybody and everybody who knows me knows that Math be it Algebra or Geometry are my worts subjects. They also know that at the mention of any mathematical term I am instantly asleep. Please Leave a Review
