The Backpack *cough* Alright this probably not a section you stumble upon everyday, or then again if you know me or others just a teeny weenie like me, you probably do.Now my backpack's reputation seems to surpass my own. Throughout elementary, middle school, high school and even now into college my backpack has been a source of amusement and interest to many. 
In "The Backpack" one can always find an assortment of goodies that even I forget are there. Not to mention the numerous amounts of key chains, jingle bells, safety pins, patches, and pins that are spread across the bag. Sadly this is not the only backpack I've had, but merely the current one that is still in use. My loyal friend has served me well these past *counts on fingers* four years and so far looks to be the backpack that will last the longest. As many can tell you my backpack goes everywhere with me, at least when I'm allowed to take it that is. My backpack(s) although being several different ones throughout the years, have become a sort of calling card for me. Everyone knows Joana's backpack. In fact there are times when a friend or acquaintance will see my bag and tell me: "I knew it was you, only one person on campus has a bag like that!" or "I heard you coming, the bag that is." Of course when I do decide to sneak up on people it truly scares them, what with them not being able to figure out how I could move so quietly and all. My backpack is one of many ways that I like to express myself, I've garnered many funny comments about it over the years and I truly doubt I will ever stop using a backpack anytime in the near future. And now the very thing everyone has ever wondered, what exactly is in that thing? * front mesh pocket: • 1 pack of spearmint gum • Baskin Robin's Mint Chocolate Chip hard candies • Baskin Robin's Tanginella hard candies • 3 G-2 0.7 black pens ^^ great for notes and inking • 1 pocket knife * front zip pocket: (has the sailor moon keychain) • 1 daily planner • keys on a bicycle chain keychain (when not wearing) • 1 pocket knife • 1 compact • 1 chap stick • 2 lipsticks • 1 bottle of nail polish • 1 mascara wand • 1 disk box w/2 disks • 1 pill box • 1 bottle of Advil * second front zip pocket: (has the big jingle bell) • 1 pencil bag (contains pens, pencils, erasers, whiteout) • 1 mini stapler • 1 game boy w/game • 1 mini tool kit • 1 staple remover • 1 screwdriver (no not the liquor kind) • dragon wallet/check book w/checks for secondary checking acct ^^; • blue/black checkbook for the primary checking acct. • CD player (when not carrying or holding) • 2 CDs (artists vary on daily basis) • 1 calculator (TI) • femme products • 1 pencil bag w/colored pencils • 1 coin purse thingie ^^ w/change * first large pocket: (has the Meowth keychain) • 1 5 subject spiral notebook (for writing fics) • 1 sketch pad • 1 can of soda • 1 disposable Tupperware sandwich container w/food usually * second large pocket: (has Mew Two keychain and the big safety pin) • 1 Math text book • 1 English Composition Rhetoric book • 1 newspaper • 1 magazine • 1 Japanese <-> English dictionary • 1 Japanese text book • 1 5 subject spiral (five star) notebook for notes • 1 3 ring 1' binder (black) total number of key chains: 31 not counting the noise makers i.e. numerous single rings and bells total number of safety pins: 22 technically 23 including the giant one total number of pins: 4 *sniffles* I lost some before I got to take a pic of the bag ;_; total number of patches: 2 need to find room for the rest. Since I've begun taking a lot of once a week only classes I have recruited the help of a shoulder back to lighten the load that my backpack has to carry. I've taken a few key chains off of my backpack, added new key chains, pins and patches to it; not to mention it no longer carries the same paraphernalia anymore. I'll be back with pictures of the assistant backpack as well as new and updated pictures of the backpack as well. |
