Background:
Alice McCoy made her grand entrance onto the screen and into the hearts of fans world wide in episode number 44 of Digimon Tamers entitled: The Messenger.

Although she appears with Dobermon at her side, he is sadly not her digimon. Alice McCoy was never a Tamer. Even so Alice McCoy played a pivotal role in the destiny and lives of the Tamers. Contacted by the Digimon Soverign she is entrusted with the care and safe delivery of Dobermon, the Digital Glide, to the Tamers.

While in the real world the Tamers where unable to become data, as necessary, and Bio-merge with their partner digimon which resulted in the digimon being unable to attain their mega forms in the real world. The Digital Glide (Dobermon) was a sacrifice on the part of the Digital World and the Digimon Soverigns. By giving his data to the Tamers they where then able to Bio-merge with their partners; had Alice McCoy never existed, and never safely delivered Dobermon to the Tamers the D-Reaper surely would have destroyed both worlds.
